The rotational bridge spans 160 meters, with a deck width of 15.8 meters on each side. Using a segmented cantilever construction method parallel to the railway, the T-beam structures were formed before rotating the left side 102°counterclockwise and the right side 116° counterclockwise. The rotational structure spans 150 meters. The project was undertaken by the China Railway Seventh Group.
The build-then-rotate construction method minimizes disruption to existing railway operations, offers high precision and quality control, and helps shorten the construction timeline.
The Along Taihang Mountain Highway is a key component of Henan Province’s “13445 Expressway Plan” and one of four highways under construction in Jiyuan. Once completed, it will connect to the Jiyuan-Xin’an and Along-the-Yellow River highways, significantly contributing to the development of the Jiyuan demonstration area, rural revitalization, and the utilization of red tourism resources along the route.
